In the morning, take a high-speed train from Chengdu to Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province. The journey takes about 3.5 hours. Upon arrival, your driver will greet you at the station and take you to the city center.

Your first stop will be the historic Jiaxiu Pavilion, a 400-year-old structure standing gracefully over the Nanming River. It has long symbolized Guiyang’s culture and literary heritage. After breakfast, depart from Guiyang and head west via the Hukun Expressway to the famous Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area. This is one of the largest waterfall groups in Asia and a top highlight in Guizhou Province.

Your visit begins with the main waterfall, Huangguoshu, which plunges 77.8 meters with a width of 101 meters. You can walk along the specially designed paths to enjoy close-up views and even go behind the falls through a natural cave. The thunderous roar and mist create an unforgettable scene.
