Breakfast & Lunch
After breakfast, continue your in-depth exploration of the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area, one of China's most iconic natural wonders. While many visitors focus on the main waterfall alone, today’s itinerary allows you to take a deeper dive into this stunning karst landscape.
Begin with a scenic walk along the Waterfall Viewing Trail, which winds through bamboo groves, stone bridges, and natural pools, offering different perspectives of the massive Huangguoshu Waterfall. One of the highlights is the Water-Curtain Cave, a 134-meter-long corridor that runs behind the cascading water. As you walk through it, you’ll feel the spray on your face and hear the deafening roar of water rushing down—a fully immersive experience that brings you closer to the raw power of nature.
Next, venture to the Tianxingqiao Scenic Area again, this time following a less-traveled path that leads deeper into its dreamlike rock forest. Here, you'll find giant banyan trees, natural stone bridges, and reflective pools, surrounded by rare mosses and ferns. With fewer crowds and a mystical atmosphere, this area feels like stepping into a painting.
Before leaving the area, stop at the Guizhou Folk Culture Village, where you can learn about the traditions of the Miao, Buyi, and Dong ethnic groups. Exhibits include traditional weaving techniques, silver ornaments, and wood carvings. If time permits, you may also witness a short minority dance performance or try on traditional costumes for photos.
In the afternoon, return to Guiyang by car, enjoying the scenic countryside views along the way. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy a bit of rest after the day's adventure.
Evening Option:
This evening, head to Laofushou Road or Qianling East Road Night Market, where the streets come alive with neon lights, sizzling skewers, and bustling locals. Try Guizhou's famous sour fish soup, sticky rice cakes, and grilled tofu, or sip a glass of local mijiu (rice wine) while enjoying the nightlife vibe of Guiyang.
